Friday, January 12th, 2007 A couple things to catch up on.... Bands at the BMX Games? Oh yeah!! Los Capitanes, The Porkers and Casino Rumblers will be playing on Saturday 27th at Monster skate park for the games thanks to Sound System Records. Extra monster session for BMX – Thursdays 6-10pm In the lead up to the Monster BMX Games (street on 27 Jan and mini and vert on 28 Jan), we thought we’d put on another session for those of you who are getting ready...or just getting into it. BMX sessions are now running:
Remember – anyone riding vert only can session the vert ramp in all session times Thursday, January 11th 2007 Apologies to everyone for lack of updates. I recently moved house and was without internet access since the last update. Rest assured though, tomorrow I will be back and hard at work getting all the latest up and running. They are as follows... Thurs 25th - Dirt 2pm - 4pm Am practice 4pm - 6pm Pro Practice Fri 26th - Monster (Monster will be charging standard fees) 2pm - 6pm 6pm - 10pm Sat 27th Jan - Flat 8am - 10am Vert/Mini/Park will be realized with full schedule, we're still finalizing the schedule as there may be some changes. We had some issues with the video page recently where all videos were stopping at 1.9mb. If you were trying to download any videos and couldn't get the whole thing, try again. there should be no problems now. Sunday, September 24th* Prize money - to make it fair for all disciplines, prize money is going to be awarded relative to the number of competitors in each discipline. Therefore in the Vert and Flat comps, money will only be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place getters. The amount will still be the same for every discipline - $1600 for first place, it just ups the anti for those competing as they don't automatically receive $$ just for entering. Tuesday, September 19th The BMX Games are expanding the format to include a girls only Am park event. Registration will be the same and the comp will be taking place before the male Am contest on Saturday 27th Jan. All female riders are encouraged to take part in any aspect of the BMX Games, in particular the park comp. Friday, September 15th Again welcome to the new site for the 2007 BMX Games. Things are starting to fall in to place and we're getting ready for January. As you can see on other parts of the site, the games are locked in for January 26th through to the 28th. Discounted accommodation is available through Pacific International Suites at Parramatta (Just a short train trip to Olympic Park.
